Site Clearance and UST Removal Within A Confined Urban Space

·       Former garage and petrol station in a sensitive town centre location, close          proximity of adjacent properties.

 

·       For redevelopment as residential end use

 

·       Adjacent commercial and residential properties

 

·       Existing buildings contained asbestos cladding.

 

·       Underground storage tanks required removal along with fuels and wastes

 

·       Impacted soils and groundwater within site

 

·       Listed historic walls to both north and south boundaries of site, required structural support and monitoring

 

 

Site Clearance and removal of underground storage tanks

 

·       All above ground materials segregated prior to removal for recycling.

 

 

 

 

·       All asbestos bound materials removed from site under controlled work methods and disposed off site at specialist waste receptor.

 

 

·       All underground storage tanks removed and recycled off site

 

·       All hydrocarbon product removed and recycled by specialist contractors

 

·       Groundwater treated on site prior to discharge to sewer

 

·       Selective excavation of impacted materials for off site disposal

 

·       Close liaison with local residents to ensure minimum disruption to them
