Historically, in-situ remediation methods have required months or years to achieve targets. Over the past decade, however, QDS has successfully introduced new technologies, such as Advanced Oxidation Processes, which can reduce in-situ remediation periods to a matter of weeks.

QDS has effectively applied Advanced Oxidation Processes against a wide range of organic contaminants including chlorinated solvents, BTEX, PAHs and phenols. In most cases, dissolved phase contaminant concentrations have been reduced to below detection limits within a few weeks.

Solutions based on Advanced Oxidation Processes have been implemented in a number of different scenarios, including former petrol filling stations, gasworks and industrial facilities. Each system is tailored to the site specific conditions through pre-remediation laboratory studies and pilot testing. This enables remediation to be undertaken with maximum efficiency, thereby minimising impact on other site operations.
